Funeral services for Col. Rodney P. Williams (USAF, Ret.), 87, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8:00 p.m., Monday, August 31, 2020 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Rodney Williams passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2020 in Dallas. He was born January 31, 1933 in Dallas, Texas to Ida Pearl (Thrash) and Thomas Pascal Williams. He married Joan Rogers on September 3, 1955 in Dallas.
Mr. Williams was a retired Colonel in the US Air Force and also a retired Chief Adult Probation officer. He was a member of Field Street Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Rodney P. Williams, Jr., and sister, Gwendolyn Maddox.
Survivors include his beloved wife of almost 65 years, Joan Williams of Cleburne; daughter, Cynthia Williams Young and husband, Sam of Dallas and Susan Johnson and husband, Zane of Williamsburg, Virginia; grandchildren, Jordan Lewis and wife, Beth, Anna K. Lewis, Samuel J. Young, Zachary Johnson, Mallory Johnson, Mary Wagley and Michelle Boone; six great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sister, Nancy Edwards of Dallas; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.
