Funeral services for, Willie Mae Williams, 88, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2011 in the Rosser Funeral Home chapel. Dr. Danny Crosby will officiate; assisted by the Rev. Kevin Boyd. Burial will follow in Greenacres Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Monday, October 3, 2011 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Mrs. Williams passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2011 in Desoto, Texas.
She was born May 17, 1923 in Jourdanton, Texas to Jody B. and Edna Lorena Tope.
She married Robert B. Williams on April 2, 1943. They were married for 63 years and raised 3 children, Sandra, Robert Jr. and Cindy.
Willie Mae retired from the Lorch Company, clothing manufacturer, in June of 1985 where she had worked for 24 years. After retirement she and her husband volunteered their time to drive cancer patients and delivered Meals-on-Wheels. She was a long time, active member of First Baptist Church in Cleburne.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; daughter, Sandra King; four sisters and two brothers.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her son, Bob Williams and wife, Kathy, of Beaumont, Texas; daughter, Cindy Boyd and husband, Tony, of Midlothian, Texas; five grandchildren, Tonya David, Teresa Carlock, Lauren Mason, Kevin Boyd and Kyle Boyd; and six great grand children.
