Bill Wolf
Mr. Wolf passed away on Monday, July 18, 2011 at his home. He was born in Farmersville, Texas on June 8, 1919, the son of Birdie (Gailey) and Grover Cleveland Wolf.
Bill married Irene Hawkins on July 13, 1940 in Farmersville.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII as an electrical engineer and retired as a Staff Sergeant in November of 1946. Bill was awarded the Philippine Liberation Medal “Presidential Unit”, Asiatic- Pacific Campaign Ribbon with one Bronze Star, the Philippine Liberation Medal with one Bronze Star, and the Philippine Independence Ribbon, to name a few.
Bill was retired from Santa Fe as a division lineman. He was a member of Field Street Baptist Church.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Irene, earlier this year.
He is survived by his son, David Wolf and wife, Debra, of Cleburne; granddaughter, Alison Wolf of Cleburne; grandson, Stephen Wolf of Cleburne, Texas; and brother, Jack Donihoo of Dallas, Texas.
