Alfred Glenn Youngberg, Sr., 65, of Keene, Texas passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019 in Fort Worth Texas. Family and friends will gather from 4 – 8 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2019 at the Keene Memorial Park Cemetery Pavilion located at 301 Pioneer Dr, Keene, TX 76059.
Alfred was born November 28, 1953 in Elsa, Texas to Dr. Stephen Aaron Youngberg and Verlene DeWitt Youngberg.
Alfred went with his parents at age six to establish a mission in Peña Blanca, Honduras. There he married Laura and they had three children. The family moved to Keene in the 70s and he worked various heavy construction jobs and was a foreman at Brown & Root power plant.
He assisted his parents with their mission throughout his life. He loved to sing and feed the birds and usually had his beloved dogs with him. He loved to read the Bible, and go on family trips to the beach. He was a great blessing to many who knew him and even strangers who needed help. He was a member of Keene Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Joseph Lane DeWitt and Bertha Reed DeWitt, Alfred Grover Youngberg and Bertha Oss Youngberg; and brother, Alvan Youngberg.
Alfred is survived by his loved ones, former wife, Laura Youngberg; daughter, Norma Jean Kunkle and husband, Douglas Kunkle; son, Alfred Glenn Youngberg, Jr, and wife, Elisabet Youngberg; daughter, Sally Youngberg Sarrach and husband, Robert Stoesz; grandchildren, Sarah Youngberg Corley, Michael Dylan Youngberg Weaver, Cherish Pearce, Ethan Glenn Youngberg Weaver, Victoria Celeste Youngberg, Taliana Sophia Youngberg, Elizabeth Ann Youngberg, Angelina Kunkle, Wendibelle Youngberg, Orion Zendel Youngberg and Natalie Isabella Youngberg; great grandchildren, Lily Michelle Howard and Quinn Rose Corley;
siblings, Aileen Jackson, Sylvia Kohler, David Youngberg, German Vernón Youngberg and
José Moisés Youngberg; aunts and uncles, Olive Hoogenboom, John B Youngberg, Joseph
Lyndon DeWitt, Valeda Nadine Blockcolsky and Waldon Dewayne Dewitt; and many other family members and friends.
